reflections 5 from the sat-guru

kundalini shakti

Previously I told you about the five Ms of the Tantra - Mans, Meen, Mudra, Madira and Mithun. Today I would like to explain more about the Mithun. In a simple word Mithun means sex. Everyone try to avoid the word sex. You always talk about love. In Tantra love is a word of compromise, it doesn't have much meaning, it is pseudo. All the so-called religions talks about love but privately only have sex. Because we all are by-product of sex, we all are result of sex; our whole being is nothing else but the sex. You may discard genitals from your body - you may think you are rid of sex, but the genital is your whole being - how can you get rid of that ?

All the so-called religions preaches you that sex is sin, sex is dirty .. but sex is your source, .. sex is like mud from which you all beautiful lotuses have comes out .. Your parents made love to each other or in simple words, had sex, and you are produced. You are part of both - male and female energy .. You cannot deny it or condemn it. It is holy, holier than any so-called holiness. Now Tantra says, let your parent energies make love inside you again - let them meet. It is called meeting of Shiva and Shakti. Arousal of Kundalini is just an orgasm of that meeting. You can not have it without sexual feelings. Celibacy is out of the question. A celibate one, unless filled with sexual desires within, will never have this arousal.

And sex is not only to make love or just have sex, but it is eightfold. In Tantra it is called Ashtanga (eightfold) Maithuna, namely, Smaranam (thinking of), Kirttanam (talking with), Keli (at ease of or being playful with women or men), Prekshanam (seeing or making eyes at them), Guhyabhashanam (talk in private), Samkalpa (wish or desire for sexual union), Adhyavasaya (determination towards it), Kriyanishpatti (actual accomplishment of the sexual act).

So, you see, a man thinking of a woman or a woman thinking of a man or even talking with them or seeing is sex. You are never out of it. So, stop calling yourself celibate, celibacy is a disguised perversion. Remember, Tantra is nothing but the real nature of you. Just as the nature of fire is to burn and the nature of water is to have a cooling quenching effect, in the same way, the real nature of the being is to long for self-realization and pleasure of orgasmic union with the absolute. Finally, it is still sex. Open to Tantra, Tantra is the ultimate luxury, the ultimate richness of the being. When all desires are fulfilled, Tantra begins. Tantra itself is an orgasm. Let Tantra be your guide and let it re-calibrate your references.
